The weather isn't so important, the most important is prepared tourist! This weekend is International Day of Monuments and Sites, so I will write about some tips for trips in the Czech republic.
If you are working foreigner or student, who studies abroad, this weekend is the best for tasting our history via visiting castles, ruins, historical centres and all secret places in towns and find out genius loci.
The International Day for Monuments and Sites is held on 18 April each year around the world with different types of activities, including visits to monuments and heritage sites, conferences, round tables and newspaper articles. The International Day for Monuments and Sites was proposed by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) on 18 April 1982 and approved by the General Assembly of UNESCO in 1983. The aim is to promote awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage of humanity, their vulnerability and the efforts required for their protection and conservation.
However, almost all museums, castles and tourist guides have prepared interesting programme for everybody – Czechs, foreigners, young, old or families. Choose your region and enjoy cognition.
