There are various ways of funding your studies in the Czech Republic, so don't break into your piggy banks yet. We've selected the most important websites that you should check out to get more information on what types of scholarship are available and for whom:
Official website of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is the first place to start your search. Check out especially sections related to government scholarships for students from developing countries and scholarships under bilateral international agreements.
Centre for Higher Education Studies and Centre for Equivalence of Documents about Education could be helpful in case you're not sure whether your previous education will be recognized by the Czech Republic.
Some universities offer scholarships for international students. Check the university website or contact the international relations office. For example, information about scholarships for international students at Masaryk University can be found here.
South Moravian Centre for International Mobility, a nonprofit organization, supports talented students and researchers based in the South Moravian Region. Check out their website here. However, it is expected that you will be able to study in Czech language.
If you're a citizen of one of these countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia or Ukraine) you can apply for a scholarship via the International Visegrad Fund.
Some universities also offer scholarships in case you have excellent study results. Check your selected university for more information.
